That episode was for the gays.
We were teased, fed, emotionally flirted with and somehow still wanted more — which honestly feels a little greedy after everything we were just given, but we cannot help ourselves.
OPENING REACTION
We tried really hard to stay off socials leading into this episode to avoid spoilers and fan theories. There is something fun about letting a story hit exactly as intended, especially when you know an episode is likely carrying emotional truths you want to land in real time.
Love Beyond Dreams EP4 absolutely delivered.
Our only complaint? It flew by.
Between Rann fully entering her detective era, P’ Le stepping into action-hero mode and a night we can only classify as every sapphic nerd’s fantasy (yes…we are absolutely unpacking that in a minute), this episode gave us emotional payoff, stronger chemistry and enough mystery to keep us fully locked in.
What Love Beyond Dreams continues to do well is balance intrigue with character progression. This episode moved the relationship forward in a meaningful way while still refusing to hand over too many answers. And honestly? We respect the restraint.
The writing felt sharper this week. The banter landed, the emotional moments felt earned and the pacing moved quickly without feeling rushed.
Still, we are going to need these episodes to be longer because there is simply too much to unpack.
THE MOMENT
Yup. We are talking about it first.
How could we not?
When you take what can only be described as a Star Wars fan’s sapphic fantasy and somehow make it come alive on screen, we have no choice but to commend the writing room and whoever approved that set design.
Seriously, it looked like a space nerd and a cosplay queen got together and said, “How should we design a room built for tension, fantasy, secrets and unmistakable ‘this room charges by the hour’ vibes?” And somehow, it worked perfectly.
Look, we’re not mad at these choices, so we say this with love — we genuinely had to pause and laugh because the room was almost distractingly on point. We could barely focus on what came next.
Almost.
While part of us wanted to scream “finally” at this scene — and trust us, that feeling is there — what we appreciated most is that the show still left room for mystery and emotional complexity. Not giving away too much of P’ Le’s motives yet, but allowing the actions in the moment to speak volumes.
Because this was never just about chemistry.
P’ Le is still desperately trying to push Rann away, believing distance is somehow protection. Whether that danger comes from her father, time travel or something bigger entirely, we still do not fully know. What we do know is that P’ Le has spent most of this story emotionally shutting down, withholding and fighting what is very clearly there.
And this time, Rann pushing back breaks the mold.
Hard.
Not with frustration, but honesty.
Her confession — telling P’ Le she loves her — felt earlier than we expected, but completely necessary.
Honestly? Someone had to say it.
P’ Le has been so emotionally stubborn that honesty finally needed to cut through the fear. Because while both women clearly care deeply for one another, they have spent far too much time circling the same fears instead of saying what actually matters.
And what follows works because it feels emotionally earned.
Let us go down the rabbit hole for a second because respectfully, this may already be one of the strongest intimacy scenes in Thai GL this year.
When Rann kisses P’ Le, we loved that Le initially resists. Mie’s acting choice here deserves real credit. Keeping her eyes open, physically holding back and then visibly making the decision to finally surrender to the moment? That emotional transition was written all over her face and body language.
That mattered.
Because for someone as emotionally guarded as P’ Le, giving in is not small.
We also appreciated that Rann initiated the moment. It was not necessarily the dynamic we expected, but it made emotional sense. Rann has reached a point where she is no longer willing to sit quietly and wait for P’ Le to stop running.
And once P’ Le finally stops resisting?
Well.
Game over.
The emotional intensity escalates quickly, but what worked most is that it never felt performative or there purely for spectacle. It starts as pent-up attraction — years of longing, tension, fear and frustration finally boiling over — but gradually becomes something more vulnerable.
Especially for P’ Le.
This stops feeling like desire alone and starts feeling like trust.
For two people carrying as much trauma, fear and emotional restraint as these women are, finally giving in to the one person who makes you feel safe and cared for matters. A lot.
And that emotional context is what elevates the scene.
By the time they shift toward the bed, the scene becomes less about passion and more about emotional surrender — especially for someone like P’ Le who has spent so much time withholding. Yes, we get clothes coming off, hands roaming, gripping, urgency and heat. But the transition into vulnerability is what stayed with us.
We also want to commend the actresses here. The physical acting, emotional verbalizations, body positioning and movement, and authenticity of the scene all felt intentional. Nothing about it looked disconnected from the characters themselves.
Honestly, we have not seen many intimacy scenes in Thai GL executed at this level when it comes to balancing emotional storytelling with chemistry and vulnerability. #MieAya committed to the emotional and physical stakes, and it paid off.
Our one tiny complaint?
The morning-after scene.
After everything that transpired, both women being wrapped up that perfectly in robes felt just a tiny bit unrealistic.
Respectfully, there should have been at least a little chaos.
Still, we are letting it slide because the sweetness of that moment landed — and let us be honest, we knew P’ Le was absolutely awake.

WHAT WORKED
a. The Mystery
We love that we still do not fully understand P’ Le’s motivations.
Why is she pushing Rann away so hard?
Theories are flying everywhere — maybe P’ Le time traveled herself and witnessed Rann’s death. Maybe she is protecting Rann from her criminal underworld father. Maybe Rann is dreaming this entire thing.
Honestly? We are entertained by all of it.
What works is that even though P’ Le is beginning to crack emotionally, the series still gives us enough uncertainty to keep us fully invested. We are getting progress without losing intrigue.
That balance is hard to pull off, but right now the show is managing it well.
b. The Side Crew
The side crew walking in while Rann was sitting on P’ Le’s lap?
Absolutely hilarious.
Their reactions and comments felt like exactly what viewers were likely screaming at home. The comedic timing landed perfectly and helped break up an otherwise emotionally heavy episode.
And Peem continuing to tease both women afterward?
Priceless.
What works so well here is that the supporting cast adds levity without distracting from the central relationship. Instead, they help make the world feel fuller — and honestly, we adore them for it.
c. Bold & Sassy
P’ Le at the end of this episode?
We were living.
Watching her overhear Rann speaking sweetly about her to the housemaid added such a nice emotional layer. There is something quietly meaningful about getting an unfiltered glimpse into how someone who loves you truly sees you.
But then instead of getting soft?
P’ Le leans into teasing.
The confidence.
The one-liners.
The finger drag across Rann’s face.
Excellent.
You could practically see Rann folding in real time. And honestly? Her facial expression afterward said enough.
We suspect recovery took time.
Also, respectfully, why did both of them have to look that good?

WHAT MISSED
Look, we will briefly take off the rose-colored glasses because, if we are being honest, there were a few tiny moments that made us raise an eyebrow.
a. Heels
Rann, honey.
No one is sneaking up on anyone in those heels.
There is simply no way Peem did not hear her coming. And if by some miracle she somehow moved silently, given the girl’s track record in heels, there is also no universe where she arrived perfectly in time to hear that conversation.
That said?
Respect for recording the conversation — and even more respect for somehow avoiding a poorly timed ringtone while playing Harriet the Spy.
b. The River
Look, we have been to Thailand a couple times now and we have questions.
If that was supposed to be Bangkok’s main river, why was it looking suspiciously clean?
How did both women come out of the water looking that put together?
And perhaps most importantly, Bangkok river currents are no joke. How exactly did they stay underwater that long and casually resurface perfectly fine?
Also — P’ Le’s phone still working?
Help us understand.
A little realism here would have gone a long way.
c. Gifts
We understand that P’ Le is rich.
But is she also a genie?
How exactly did the Gucci shoes and Samsung phone materialize that quickly?
Was Peem standing nearby with emergency luxury items? Because maybe we can get behind that explanation.
But then how did Rann not see him?
This one stretched believability just a little.
BUT.
We are willing to let it slide because the flashback itself was genuinely sweet. Seeing how P’ Le quietly cared for Rann — while casually flirting that she may need to keep her around forever — was too cute not to appreciate.
Sometimes cute wins.
BOLD TAKE
Love Beyond Dreams EP4 delivers one of the season’s strongest emotional payoffs — and proves #MieAya’s chemistry is quickly becoming one of the top ranked in Thai GL.
FINAL VERDICT
We genuinely cannot believe there are only three episodes left.
NOOOOO.
Why are so many good series this year so short?
Love Beyond Dreams continues to deepen the emotional connection between its leads while keeping the mystery fully intact. The writing felt sharper this episode, the chemistry remains undeniable and yes — the steam officially fogged up the entire Dagobah cave. 😉
And wherever the next episode is headed? We did not see it coming, but trust us, we are fully onboard.
What did you love most about EP4?
