Poisonous Love EP1: She’s Your Poison, But We’re Addicted

Well, well, well… #PoisonousLove is finally here, and let’s just say: we were seated and ready. The premiere we’ve been counting down for all year did not disappoint. Between the sizzling performances, chaotic love entanglements, wardrobe slayage, and oh yes—a green Lamborghini entrance that had us gagged—this pilot set the stage for one hell of a ride. Let’s unpack the highlights.

Pat and Prem face off in the foyer, as Pat drops the truth about Prem’s fiancé before the wedding.
Pat and Prem face off in the foyer, as Pat drops the truth about Prem’s fiancé before the wedding.

The Opening: A Taste of Poison (and Passion)

Right out of the gate, we got that poetic one-two punch: “She was my poison, but now I can’t live without her.” Hello, we’re hooked. The soft setup gave us Denied Love vibes, luring us in before the chaos began. Tiny critique? The kiss could’ve had a bit more fire—but hey, as appetizers go, this was delicious.

That Entrance: Jayna, the Lambo, and 10/10 Fashion

Listen. We did not have Jayna screeching in with a green Lambo on our premiere bingo card, but here we are. The car? Fire. The outfit? Chef’s kiss. The attitude? Slayed. Pat’s acting was magnetic, and watching her and her co-worker instantly click like BFFs after a heated scene was such a fun moment. It not only broke the tension—it showcased Jayna’s range beautifully.

Enter Nam: The Master of Tease

Five minutes in and Nam has us sighing. Girl, stop leading Pat on when you know she’s already hooked. And Pat—sweetheart, all that hovering and touching is screaming desperation. Find someone who actually gives back, because Nam sure isn’t.

The Bachelor Party: Love, Liquor & Laughter

Prem, honey, you were serving on that dance floor. And Pat? The way you were staring—crush much? But the night wasn’t all fun and flirty. When the friends toasted Prem’s upcoming marriage, someone threw out the question: does she even love her fiancé? The silence said it all—Prem looked confused, and Sita had to step in to cool things down. Later, a very drunk Prem ignored Tan’s advice to stay put, stumbled into the wrong car, and of course it was Pat’s. Her friends were worried for plenty of reasons, but the best one? They knew drunk-Prem has a habit of stripping. LOL. Cue the ultimate “we all have that friend” moment coming to life in #ThaiGL.

Back at the Condo: Boundaries, Blurred

So here’s where it got messy. Prem’s drunk antics kicked in, and yes—she started stripping just like her friends predicted. Pat tried to stop her, but things ended in a very compromised position. Pat took her shot with a kiss (girl, timing?!), and oddly enough, Prem kissed her back… before passing out cold. For payback, Pat left a well-placed hickey and a vague little note waiting for Prem when she woke up. Absolutely. Narratively juicy? You bet.

Nam’s Big Reveal: Pregnant & Problematic

When Pat discovers Nam is pregnant, she’s completely shaken. Nam confesses she’s madly in love with the father—but he ditched her to marry someone else. After putting Nam to bed, Pat takes her phone (a move we absolutely applauded). Soon after, she vents to her friend Thicha, who doesn’t mince words. Thicha tells Pat point-blank to get her act together and stop wasting time on Nam. Bestie of the year award goes to her, hands down.

Wedding Day Bombshell: Receipts Served

Prem looked radiant, and honestly the whole cast could’ve walked straight off a runway—Bow’s suit, Prem’s wedding-day look, and Pat’s dress with those stunner shades were all perfection. But Pat? Storming into the ceremony with receipts in hand and full villainess energy? We lived. She didn’t just throw accusations—she came armed with a pregnancy test and a recorded call to Thawat, ready to prove the groom-to-be was trash. When Prem’s friends demanded evidence, Pat delivered like a boss. But she pushed too hard, and Prem—rightfully overwhelmed—slapped her to say, “enough.” Still, canceling that sham wedding? Absolute perfection.

Aftermath: Cheating Men, Fierce Women & Toxic Bonds

Once the wedding explodes, Thawat immediately proves he’s every bit the scumbag we thought. He corners Prem, spewing excuses and trying to gaslight her into forgiveness. Thankfully, Prem sees straight through it and stands firm—no marriage. Enter her parents, who are upset about the public embarrassment but actually pause long enough to hear their daughter out. When Prem lays out the cheating receipts, they side with her. Props to Mom and Dad for putting their kid’s happiness before pride.

Meanwhile, Thawat slithers off to Nam’s place to rage. The sleeve roll-up alone had us bracing for a punch, but instead he settles for yelling and laying down ultimatums: he’ll never marry her, but he’ll pay child support if she can prove the baby is his. What. An. Ass. Nam, why are you still pining over this man? Girl, you can do so much better.

Pat, of course, gets the fallout too. Nam storms over to her condo, furious. She accuses Pat of crossing the line, even going so far as to say if Thawat doesn’t come back, she’ll hate her. That was the last straw. Pat makes it clear this was the final thing she’d ever do for Nam—and honestly, we cheered. She’s right: exposing Thawat helped both women, whether they realize it yet or not.

This messy trio? They’re serving up all the sapphic melodrama we could ask for, and we are seated.

The Beach Cliffhanger: Sparks Incoming

The final shot? Prem and Pat both wandering the beach, hearts broken, futures wide open. Pat notices Prem, but before anything happens… cut to black. Rude. And brilliant.

Final Thoughts

#PoisonousLoveEP1 was fast-paced, luxe in every frame, and dripping with messy, intoxicating drama. From Pat’s boss-level entrance to Prem’s wedding-day mic drop, this Thai GL premiere delivered exactly what we were craving. If this is just the setup, we’re ready for a season that’s equal parts toxic and tantalizing—and we are so seated.

So tell us: did EP1 live up to your expectations? Drop your thoughts in the comments—because we’re seated for this ride.
