Only You EP6 – Fluff, Drama & a Patio Bombshell

Updated: Aug 23

Alright, Only You—we see the role you’re playing in sapphic TV history. You’re the first Thai GL series to hit a prime-time network slot, and that milestone matters. We applaud you, we support you, and we keep showing up every week. But let’s be real: Episode 6? Gorgeous acting, high drama, but…not a lot actually happened.

Where’s the action? Where are the bodyguards? And honestly, are LingLing’s heels considered standard-issue security gear? We digress. Let’s break down what actually went down in this filler-y but emotional episode.

Aira and Tawan cuddle in bed, gazing at each other with loving, flirty smiles in Only You EP6.

Morning Practice: Comic Relief Gold

The trio realizing immediately that Tawan and Aira patched things up? Iconic. They’re the much-needed humor in this series, and we live for their scenes. Their jealousy over Pete, followed by Tawan’s jealousy, was both hilarious and relatable.

And Aira dropping the “Pete is gay” bomb? Priceless. Watching Tawan connect the dots had us in stitches. Bonus points for Pete’s wink at Typhoon (we died) and Nana being the only one to pick up on it. Honestly, give these four their own spin-off.

Running & Piggybacks: Cute but Slow

The piggyback ride? Adorable. The dialogue? Sweet. The pacing? Dragging. We love that Tawan and Aira are communicating so well, but the story needs to pick up the tempo before fans start checking their watches.

Camping Trip: Bracelet, Confessions & The Ask

Tawan whisking Aira off to her safe haven by the river was thoughtful, romantic, and honestly a bold move—bringing the woman you care about to your most sacred space. It worked though, because their quiet conversation added real depth to their emotional connection.

The bracelet callback? Smooth. Tawan actually listened, remembered their earlier chat, and followed through—girl’s got game (though let’s be real, Loft from Roller Coaster still reigns supreme).

Then came the moment: Tawan finally asked Ayra to date her. Cue sapphic squeals heard around the globe. Aira’s joy was written all over her face, and the sheer relief of finally being on the same page with Tawan was sweet to watch.

We also got the long-awaited reveal about why Tawan disappeared to Hong Kong. Critical for the future storyline? Absolutely. And yes, Tawan kept Aira’s mementos and followed her career. Yes, Aira was quietly doing the same. We adore the mutual pining, the dedication, the devotion—but the scene stretched so long that by the end, we were whispering “we get it” at the screen.

Back Home: Permission to Date?!

We were this close to what seemed to be intimate scene—but nope. Tawan hit the brakes because she wanted Dad’s permission first. Respectful? Sure. Modern? Not so much. Antiquated traditions about women as property don’t exactly scream sapphic empowerment.

The Dad Drama: Smooth Moves & Shockers

Aira’s dad went full beast mode, pulling Tawan aside for the classic “prove yourself” moment. And wow—Tawan's calm, thoughtful response to Aira's Dad's concerns? Absolute queen energy. She didn’t react; she responded. We loved it.

But then came that patio reveal. Just as everyone was celebrating, Dad casually dropped the M-word (“marriage”) and Aira—queen of chaotic charm—blurted, “Let’s get married tomorrow.” We howled.

Of course, it couldn’t stay fluffy. The second Tawan’s family background came up, Dad flipped, yanked Aira away, and banned them from dating. Cue the collective gasp. Just when it got good…credits rolled.

Overall Thoughts: Sweet, Fluffy, and Still Too Safe

Only You continues to be a landmark sapphic drama, and we deeply respect the actresses’ talent and the platform they’ve earned. Episode 6 gave us humor, softness, and that patio bombshell twist.

But let’s be honest—the pacing is slow, the action is MIA, and the intimacy is still PG at best. The kisses were better this week (hallelujah!), but Ch3+ clearly isn’t ready to let these two go all in.

Still, we’ll keep tuning in—because milestones matter, and so do these women bringing it to life.
