Okay Only You… tonight’s episode had us fully engaged — and for good reason. The story actually moved quickly for once, the crying was blessedly minimal, and we got some key moments that crescendoed in all the right ways. And those cutesy Aira-Tawan moments? They had us swooning and feeling aggressively single.
But let’s be real: this series still has the worst case of ping-pong syndrome we’ve seen in Thai GL. One week it’s dragging slower than molasses, the next it’s zipping along — consistency clearly isn’t on the writers’ agenda. And what’s really got us nervous (and not in a fun, cliffhanger way) is the looming possibility of a tragic ending. If that’s where we’re headed, we’ll be beyond livid. For the first Thai prime-time sapphic series, representation can’t just be about airtime — it’s about the message. And “bury your gays” is not the milestone anyone asked for.
But before we spiral into rage mode, let’s comb through the episode highlights.

Tawan vs. Mek: Arrests & Family Fallout
The episode starts strong with Tawan in full warrior mode: she storms in, slaps her stepbrother for targeting Aira, and then calmly lets the police take over. They show up with proof tying Mek to the scheme to kill Aira and haul him off. Honestly, we would’ve been fine with a pre-arrest beatdown, but props to Tawan for taking the official route.
Mek, of course, denies everything while clinging to his mother, who screams at Dad to fix it. Dad, however, just looks… resigned. Almost like he’s not surprised at all. Tawan tunes out the parental arguments and walks away. Good move, girl. No one needs that toxic chaos.
Girlfriend Goals & Corporate Power Plays
Next, we get a softer moment: Aira and Tawan at home, being the sapphic couple goals we signed up for. They’re tender, supportive, and grounding each other in ways that feel real — even if we’re side-eyeing how Aira has this much free time as a working celeb.
Meanwhile, corporate drama is heating up. Tawan’s dad has basically abandoned ship, leaving the company in freefall. His secretary literally calls Tawan to beg for help. She checks on her father, who insists it’s over. He’s broken, reflecting on his failures as both a businessman and a parent.
But Tawan? She’s not about to watch it burn. She shows up in sleek black-label boss mode and digs into the mess. While her stepmother simmers with bitterness, Tawan methodically starts turning things around. And she does it while still running her own company. Double grind, double stress — but Aira’s there, understanding and supportive. High-quality girlfriend behavior, check.
Aira’s Dad, Step-Mom Drama & Angel Status
One of the biggest surprises? Tawan shows up at Aira’s house to apologize to her dad on behalf of her family. On the one hand, very traditional. On the other: why take that on when they treated you like trash for years? But we get it — Tawan’s playing the long game. She loves Aira, wants to marry her, and knows Dad’s approval is key. Respect, but girl, that baggage isn’t yours.
Back at her father’s house, the stepmom is packing her bags. Furious that her husband won’t save Mek, she throws her usual venom at Tawan. But Tawan calmly states she’s only taking over for now and plans to return everything to Mek once he’s out of jail. Excuse us? That’s above-and-beyond, Tawan. That guy doesn’t deserve it.
Then comes one of the most human beats: Tawan and her dad finally talk. He apologizes for his neglect, admits she’s his pride and joy, and thanks her for carrying the family load. It’s sweet, and it closes a wound we’ve been waiting to see addressed.
The Proposal We Didn’t Expect
And then, the payoff. Tawan takes Aira home to meet her dad, who is supportive. Aira beams, Tawan beams, and for the first time, it feels like their relationship is moving ahead.
Cue the swoon: under Tawan’s treehouse, Aira proposes. Tawan’s caught off guard (“hey, that was supposed to be my line”), but she says yes. The only obstacle left? Convincing Aira’s stubborn father. Someone get this man a hobby so he can stop blocking his daughter’s happiness.
Concert Chaos & Ominous Clues
Just when we thought things were smoothing out, the writers went for the gut-punch. Aira’s rehearsals reveal the cracks: she’s quietly relying on oxygen tanks to breathe. Is Tawan clued in? Nope. But the signs are there — fatigue, breathlessness, and a superstar shine that’s starting to flicker.
Then comes the fan meet, and surprise… Tawan sneaks in to cheer her on. It’s playful, it’s tender, it’s everything sapphic soft should be — and the fans eat it up. Afterwards, the two linger together, slipping into those sweet, domestic-adjacent moments that make you swoon and feel aggressively single. Aira asks if Tawan will be at her big concert, but Tawan sighs — duty calls, meetings await.
Except, plot twist: Tawan shows up anyway. She slips into the venue just as the first song starts, right where Aira wanted her. They lock eyes, smiles fly, and for a brief moment we’re basking in peak GL cuteness. But something is off. Tawan sees it too. Aira pushes through her set, only to stumble as she comes off stage. In full sapphic-heroine fashion, Tawan swoops in, scoops her up, and rushes her to oxygen. This time though? It doesn’t work. The screen cuts to black, and we’re left with a sinking feeling: the tragic route is looming.
Final Thoughts: Chemistry vs. Legacy
On the technical side, EP12 was balanced, emotionally layered, and better paced than many installments. But we can’t ignore the elephant in the room: the #LingOrm chemistry problem. Their kisses remain stiff, distanced, and unconvincing. And that matters. This is the first Thai prime-time GL series, and intimacy is part of representation. Compare it to Queendom’s #MaiFon — raw, magnetic, and believable — and Only You looks even flatter.
And then there’s the bigger risk: if the show ends with Aira dying, it’s not just tragic, it’s regressive. Representation in 2025 isn’t about shock value — it’s about visibility, joy, and longevity. Killing off a sapphic lead in the very first Thai GL to hit prime-time? That’s not groundbreaking. That’s a setback.
🔥 Verdict: Arrests, apologies, power moves, and a proposal gave us plenty to chew on. But with the specter of tragedy hanging over EP12, we’re holding our breath. If Only You sticks the landing without burying its leads, it could go down as historic. If not… expect fan outrage on a global scale.
