Music Story: Losing Control – Full Series Review: All the Sapphic Feels

Updated: Aug 9

If you haven’t watched Losing Control yet, run—don’t walk. This Thai sapphic series may be short on budget, but it’s long on talent, plot twists, and swoon-worthy chemistry. It’s witty. It’s unexpected. And it knows exactly how to serve that slow-burn steam that keeps fans coming back for more.

Whether you're a seasoned #ThaiGL viewer or brand new to the genre, Losing Control is one of those shows that feels like a hidden gem you just have to tell your friends about.

What’s It About? (No Spoilers, Promise)

The first part of the series follows Queen, a wealthy and lonely woman who decides to find a little companionship via an app. Her first choice? Sea. But after their connection ends too soon for her liking, Queen tries again… and ends up choosing Bam. However, Queen plays a risky little game by inviting both women to party with her on her birthday. The question is—do these two know each other? And is Queen really as emotionally detached as she thinks?

Fast-forward to the newly dropped second half of the series, and Queen’s life has gone back to being boring and lonely. She decides to return to her role as CEO of her company, and suddenly finds herself face-to-face with two women from her past—one applying to be her assistant, and the other arriving as a glamorous influencer for a big event. 👀

So, what’s a girl to do when the past comes knocking looking stunning?

What We Loved (And You Will Too)

🔥 Chemistry for Days

Let’s not be coy. The love scenes? Steamy. The tension? Palpable. These actresses understood the assignment—and delivered authentic, simmering sapphic passion that leaves you well-fed.

What made it feel so real wasn’t just the intensity—it was the intentionality. The touches, the hand placements, the way they kissed, even down to the clothing choices (or lack thereof) all told a story. These weren’t just physical scenes—they were emotional ones. As silly as it may sound, many shows shy away from going there, but Losing Control didn’t. Because the series embraced the full scope of intimacy, we stayed emotionally connected to the characters and understood exactly what they were feeling—even when the words stopped.

That’s not just chemistry. That’s craft.

💥 Plot Twists That Slap

Just when you think you know where it’s going—boom. Another curveball.

We watch a lot of sapphic content, and let’s be honest—most of the time, we can see the storylines coming a mile away. So when a series actually surprises us? That’s rare. And Losing Control didn’t just surprise us once—it kept doing it, over and over again. Every time we thought we had it figured out, the story flipped the script.

That’s what made this series so delicious. It kept us guessing until the very end—including one final twist we absolutely did not see coming. Those “Wait—what did she just do?!” moments? That’s the good stuff. That’s when you know a series is working hard to keep you engaged, invested, and slightly unhinged in the best way.

🎭 Stellar Acting

Each actress brought her A-game. They didn’t just play their roles—they owned them. Every line delivery and lingering glance felt real. This isn’t surface-level fluff; there’s emotion, conflict, and heart underneath every scene.

💋 Sass & One-Liners

We are suckers for a well-placed mic-drop line, and Losing Control delivers. More than once we found ourselves clapping at the screen like: “Ooooh, girl—GET IT.”

💄 GLOW-UP CENTRAL

We can’t not mention the styling. In the most recent episodes, the wardrobe, glam, and accessories are absolutely on point. All three women serve major looks, and it’s a vibe. Yes, Sea—we see you. Her glow-up was the most dramatic of all, and she’s looking STUNNING—with a capital S.

What Was Missing?

Honestly? Just more episodes. That’s it. That’s the critique. We just want more content from these three characters, please and thank you.

Final Take: Watch It. Now. Then Watch It Again.

Losing Control is exactly what sapphic storytelling should be: bold, clever, emotionally resonant, and yes—a little bit sexy. It offers queer representation without pandering, giving us characters we can root for (even when they’re being a little messy—okay, especially when they’re messy).

We wouldn’t change a thing… though let’s be real—we definitely wouldn’t have been mad at a cheeky little thruple ending. 😉
