Denied Love EP10 – Payoffs, Misses & One Wild Ride

Updated: Aug 9

Where do we even begin?

Denied Love has been one of the strongest, most captivating #ThaiGL dramas we’ve seen in years. It had a mature theme, fresh storytelling, and two leads—#JuneEnjoy—who absolutely delivered powerhouse performances. The chemistry? Electric. The acting? Top tier. The story? Uniquely addicting.

And because it was that good, we have to be honest: the finale left us feeling... slightly unsatisfied. Not because it lacked emotional impact—but because the show set the bar so high, we found ourselves nitpicking when the final episode didn’t quite stick the landing. So let’s break it all down: the wins, the wows, and the whaaat-just-happened moments.

Khem and Rin embrace tightly after reconciling, faces full of emotion and capturing a tender moment of love and forgiveness in the Denied Love finale.

🍷 Rin Hits Rock Bottom (But We’re Still Seated)

We open with Rin still drunk and spiraling, and okay—we were not ready for the level of chaos this girl was serving. Props to June for acting utterly wasted. That said… when Rin popped up without a single stumble, we tilted our heads. Ma’am, you've allegedly been on a liquid diet for days and dropped weight like a contestant on a survival show. Where’s the wobble? The fragility? Just a teeny bit of realism would’ve sealed the scene.

Still, we were HERE for Wasin’s emotional push—and when he told Rin he’d found Khem? Immediate adrenaline. Buckle up, ladies.

P.S. That early flashback? Cute, but unnecessary. Time is precious, and we needed those minutes for more sapphic screen time.

👑 Kwanrin: The Unsung Heroine

Turns out Kwanrin’s been holding onto some Grade-A tea. She knew where Khem was and didn’t spill it—even to Wasin. Iconic. But when she finally breaks the news that Khem is about to leave the country? Whew. Motivation unlocked. And honestly? That’s a real friend move. Kwanrin, you’re a queen.

💔 The Big Apology

Let’s talk about the moment. The apology. The confession. The long-awaited “I love you.”

Rin started strong—and that “I love you” opener? Chef’s kiss. She owned her baggage, took accountability, and honestly… it was satisfying. Would we have liked a direct apology for the slap heard ‘round the sapphic world? Yes. But we’ll wrap that into the overall remorse bouquet she handed over.

Khem’s response threw us for a loop (“I should hate you”? Girl, what?)—but her soft, open-armed welcome back was peak Khem. She’s always led with quiet strength, and this moment was no different. Rin clinging like a koala? Swoon.

💍 Reconciliation & Rings

Back inside, Khem's boarding pass looms in the background like a third character, and Rin pulls out the big guns: down on her knees, wedding ring in hand, asking Khem to stay and be her wife. YES.

Khem claps back with a crucial question: “Are you going to wear yours?” We LOVE a boundary-setting queen. The moment was healthy, heartfelt, and just what we needed. Bonus points for the “little pup” comment. Adorable overload.

Now... about that kiss. We expected a full “I can’t live without you” moment. Instead? A chaste, five-Mississippi peck. It was sweet, but not the grand emotional exhale we were craving.

Still, we held out hope. Maybe the pool scene would deliver the goods.

🏊‍♀️ The Pool Scene That Almost Slayed

This was the scene everyone was waiting for. The buzz online? Off the charts. We were ready for a sensual, emotionally-charged payoff—and while the vibes were definitely simmering, the scene stopped just shy of boiling.

A solid kiss. Strong eye contact. Khem taking the lead (HOT). But still... no lips wandering. No clothing budging. No clue they’d even… y’know… done the homework when they woke up. Not even a sexy little disheveled hint.

This couple’s foundation has always been physical intimacy—emotions only caught up later. So after all the truth bombs, apologies, and emotional breakthroughs in this episode, a well-earned make-up “homework” session would’ve been the perfect way to show they were truly back on the same page. That kind of intimacy would’ve been the cherry on top—the unspoken confirmation that their bond was stronger than ever. But instead, we got a few sweet-but-safe kisses and a fade-to-black that left us feeling like someone skipped the last chapter.

(And let’s be real—when #LMSY is out here previewing pool scenes that are turning up the heat, we expected Denied Love to bring the fire.)

🚗 Road Trips and Couple Goals

These two in the car? Adorable. This entire scene gave us everything we love about them as a couple—light teasing, genuine smiles, and a Rin so obviously in love she could burst. Gone is the guarded, grumpy boss. What we got instead was a soft, silly, totally smitten wife. And we ate it up.

Khem taking the call from Kwanrin to thank her? Respect. We love when side characters get their due and no storylines are left hanging. That full-circle closure with Kwanrin felt earned.

The couple outfits? Served. Casual but clearly intentional. These ladies looked good and we were living for it.

We also loved that their dynamic has shifted into something healthier. No more tug-of-war. Just honesty, affection, and that signature back-and-forth banter we fell in love with. Khem being playful and flirty while Rin just beams? That’s the chemistry that made this series sparkle.

🛏️ Bedroom Talk and Countertop Teasing

This section gave us the flirty softness we craved. Rin misinterpreting “fun” as something naughty? Iconic. Classic #JuneEnjoy magic. And when Khem casually pointed out how skinny Rin had gotten, it quietly tied up the whole “drinking-herself-into-oblivion” thread. Subtle, but smart—and a reminder of the toll heartbreak had taken.

The cooking scene was cute too, and gave us a chance to see them connect on a more emotional level. Khem asking Rin her favorite food—and Rin revealing it was something her mom used to make—was a tender moment that added depth. And then, in true Khem fashion, when Rin turns the question back on her and she cheekily replies “Khun Rin”? Iconic. We were living. But again—Rin is sitting on the counter, leaning in, practically begging for closeness… and Khem is not standing between her legs? A missed opportunity. Physical touch is their love language. Let it shine! We love the romance, but give us the spice.

✈️ Khem Returns to Duty

We respect a full-circle moment. Khem back at work, closing loops with coworkers, and reminding us that marriage isn’t just a romantic ending—it’s a daily choice. Again, well done tying up the threads. But did we need this much time on side characters? Meh. Give us more #KhemRin instead.

🧡 The Final Scene: Pure Bliss

Khem bursting into Rin’s office? Yes. Rin leaping up like her soul just re-entered her body? Yes again. It was giving “my wife is here and everything is right in the world.” And honestly? It was exactly the energy we needed to close out this story.

Now... the second phone subplot? We’re still scratching our heads. We’ll assume the book gives that whole situation more context because we were lost.

But everything that followed? Adorable. Rin asking Khem to register their marriage that day? That was the real emotional payoff. Not the rings. Not the pool. This moment—where Rin was confident, vulnerable, and full of love—was everything. Khem’s stunned silence, her joy, the way her entire face lit up? Magic. It was the kind of quiet emotional climax that sticks with you.

And then came the line that took us out. When Rin teased Khem that she’ll need sleep—because, y’know, babies—our jaws dropped. A perfect blend of intimacy, sass, and commitment. We screamed. It was cheeky, unexpected, and 100% earned. Khem’s reaction? Pure sapphic chaos. She looked ready to combust—in the best way.

Khem then prancing around the office like a golden retriever in love while Rin watches her with that soft, proud grin? That was the series full-circle. Chaos and calm. Swoon and sass. One loves like wildfire, the other like steady flame. We were fed. We were full.

Final Thoughts

Denied Love gave us:

✅ Emotional depth

✅ Mature storytelling

✅ Two actresses with off-the-charts chemistry

✅ Iconic moments that we’ll be rewatching for months

Was it perfect? No. The lack of authentic intimacy still stings, especially when it was such a crucial part of their bond. And when the competition is bringing bold physical storytelling, it matters.

But this show? It’s still in our Top 5. Easily.

And to #JuneEnjoy—we see you. We appreciate you. You took on a GL story with bold themes and gave it heart, soul, and heat (even if the camera blinked and missed it). This series is a triumph because of you.

Here’s to hoping for Season 2. Or a special. Or a spinoff. Or literally anything that gives us more of these two sapphic soulmates.
