Denied Love EP5 – A Kiss, Cheating Pain & Strategy

Updated: Aug 9

Spoilers ahead for Episode 5 of the Thai GL series Denied Love.

Who else is still recovering from the emotional chaos that was Episode 5? Because whew—we needed a fan, a stiff drink, and maybe a support group after that rollercoaster. Between the kiss, the cheeky one-liners we live for, and the sapphic strategy masterclass from Khem, Denied Love is playing chess while the rest of us are still figuring out checkers.

Let’s get into it.

Khem and Rin in an emotionally charged moment from Episode 5 of Denied Love, showcasing intimacy, tension, and raw vulnerability.
Khem and Rin in an emotionally charged moment from Episode 5 of Denied Love, showcasing intimacy, tension, and raw vulnerability.

A Real Kiss (Finally!) and a Trust Fall Moment

Can we get a cheer for Rin? Because she kissed Khem back—and it wasn’t some one-sided “wait, what just happened?” moment. This was intentional, emotionally loaded, and screamed: “I’m into you, but I’m terrified.”

And as if that wasn’t enough, she let Khem blindfold her. Blindfolded. The kind of move that screams trust, vulnerability, and “I’m falling fast, but I’m fighting it.”

This wasn’t just a physical connection—it was a breakthrough.

Also, both women? Absolutely stunning. When you’re in lingerie for a third of a series, that takes confidence—and they pull it off with elegance and sensuality. Special shoutout to June’s toned body, which is straight-up temptation in motion. We’re trying to focus on the plot, but… it’s not easy.

Cue the Birthday Betrayal (Girl, Why?!)

Then—SCREECH—Rin hard-pivots and goes out with Pai. On her birthday. And we were screaming. After the snuggles, the hickey, and that quiet domestic bliss with Khem, she goes back to the girl who’s ditched her more times than our internet during a storm.

And this time? Pai leaves her alone in the restaurant.

Make it make sense, Rin.

Meanwhile, Khem was at home, ready to cook her dinner—her favorite. So yeah, we fully support Khem for taking time for herself. She reached out. Rin ghosted. Boundaries are sexy, and we’re glad Khem finally drew the line.

Also—no apology from Rin? Not a single “I’m sorry”? Unacceptable.

Three Cheers for Wasin

Let’s give it up for Rin’s dad, the unsung MVP of this emotional mess. He’s the only one speaking truth and keeping it real. He calls Rin out, helps her reflect on her impact, and adds much-needed context about the arranged marriage—and why he chose Khem.

His words land, because they finally push Rin into actually admitting she doesn’t know what to do. It’s a rare crack in her armor. And it’s needed.

Khem’s Trauma Resurfaces (Finally!)

We were glad to hear Khem open up about her accident—something that’s been underplayed in the series but is central in the book. Her pain, her recovery, her struggle to move on—it humanizes her in a beautiful, heartbreaking way.

And it sets the stage for what’s coming. Emotional armor? Engaged.

Khem Stands Up to Gee (YES, Queen)

Khem vs. Gee? A moment.

Fresh off her night away from Rin and fueled by some righteous anger, Khem stormed into that office and put her harassing boss in her place. We didn’t know you had it in you, girl, but we’re so glad you let it out.

Sure, this might have consequences. But for today? We’re clapping.

That Office Scene? ICONIC.

Now let’s talk sapphic strategy. Because Khem delivered a masterclass in emotional manipulation (the sexy kind).

From leaning into Rin’s jealousy over Khwanrin, to that seductive finger twirl, to taunting “It feels good when these fingers reach for you?” while tracing Rin’s arm—Khem was in control.

And then? She says “prove it,” lifts Rin onto the desk, and unleashes those “speedy fingers” to test just how cold Rin can stay. (Spoiler: not very.)

Cheeky, calculated, and devastatingly effective. She’s not just fighting for love—she’s dominating the battlefield.

Directing, Acting, and Those Songs

This series continues to impress with smart direction and strong book-to-screen adaptation. It cuts the fluff and keeps the emotional core intact.

The acting? Phenomenal.

June (Rin) delivers micro-expressions that deserve an award. Her face might say “I’m fine,” but her eyes and lip bites? Oh, honey—they scream. Her emotional conflict is raw, messy, and real.

Enjoy (Khem) continues to layer sass, vulnerability, seduction, and self-respect into one character—and does it with ease.

And the music? Spot on. During the intimate scenes, they skipped the usual sultry vibe and went for something softer—matching the tone of blooming love instead of just lust. It elevated each moment.

In Summary: This Episode Gave Everything

Episode 5 of Denied Love was a five-course meal of drama, desire, and emotional whiplash. It gave us character growth, sapphic brilliance, and steamy scenes that felt earned, not forced.

This is more than just another Thai GL drama—it’s smart, stylish, emotionally rich, and not afraid to get messy.

And yes, we’ll be seated for Episode 6—with snacks, tissues, and a spare delulu pill in hand.

Now it’s your turn. What moments had you screaming at the screen? Which scene left you breathless (or blushing)? Drop your favorite parts in the comments—we want to hear what you thought! 💬
