Denied Love EP4 – Kisses, Chaos & That Silk Tie Scene

Updated: Aug 9

Whew! Episode 4 of Denied Love brought the heat, the heart, and a whole lot of emotional tension. Just when we think we’ve caught our breath, this Thai GL drama doubles down on the feels—and the flirtation. We're not just watching anymore, we're invested. Deeply. Passionately. Possibly a little unhinged.

This week’s episode gave us a closer look at what’s brewing beneath the surface. Rin is finally starting to question her feelings, and Khem? She’s serving strategy, sweetness, and sass like it’s a five-course meal. The acting? Chef’s kiss. The chemistry? Off the charts. The plot? We’re hooked.

Khem teases Rin once again when she is called to her office.

💖 What We Absolutely Loved

  • Rin watching Khem sleep: Cue collective “awwww.” It was soft, subtle, and so telling. That one moment spoke volumes—and we were here for every second.

  • The empty bed scene: When Rin reached over and noticed Khem was gone—and looked visibly disappointed? Too cute. Then she casually asks her dad about Khem’s schedule? Baby steps, but we see you, Rin. The empathy and quiet respect creeping in? Golden.

  • The bathtub tease: Yes, we see y’all buzzing about it online—and yes, June continues to blow us away. Her vulnerability in intimate scenes is unmatched. We're manifesting a full “tub moment” in a future episode, because that tease was real—and we are not over it.

  • Khem vs. Gee: Let’s talk about this power move. Gee tried it. Assigning work Khem hadn’t been trained for? Bold. But Khem handled it like a queen—walking into that meeting prepared, polished, and with receipts. Gee was speechless, and we were thriving.

  • Snack diplomacy & sneaky kisses: Khem doing recon with Rin’s secretary and showing up with surprise snacks? Adorable. And then stealing another kiss (or two)? We screamed. Rin didn’t pull away this time... but didn’t lean in either. This slow-burn dance? Delicious.

  • Rin’s friends are back: We’re so glad to see her besties return to the screen. They bring much-needed comedic reprieve and act as Rin’s reality check. These scenes ground the series in such a smart way. And listen—we’re dying to know what they really think about what Rin’s been doing with her adorable little “puppy.” Something tells us... they already suspect.

  • That ending: You dare tease us with a satin pleasure tie and a sensory deprivation setup—only to cut to black? Excuse us while we scream into the void. The tension. The setup. The promise. We are not okay—and we love it.

😤 What Made Us Yell at the TV

  • Kiri, sir—NO. Yet another trash man in a Thai GL. He tells Rin he loves her... then immediately runs off to his 'backup' plan with flowers (she’s allergic to, no less). The audacity! But Rin finally clapping back and telling him the truth? Iconic. And shout-out to Dad for giving her the swift kick she needed—he’s really the captain of the #KhemRin ship!

  • Rin spying on Khem and Khwanrin? You ever have one of those moments where you’re battling yourself, even though you know what’s really going on? Like you’re in the backseat, yelling directions while your trauma’s behind the wheel? That’s Rin here. Her past is flaring up—she’s scared, trying to protect herself. So yes, she stalks… and while we get why, we definitely don’t love how. Oof.

It’s like she knows, logically, that Khwanrin is like a sister to Khem—but logic takes a back seat when fear and jealousy take the wheel. Instead of trusting or leaning into what she’s feeling, Rin’s watching old insecurities hijack her present: betrayal, rejection, the ache of not being chosen. And the worst part? Rin’s not trying to be toxic—she’s just trying not to get hurt again.

This scene isn’t just about jealousy. It’s about a woman standing on the edge of something real... and letting fear steer her away from it. We were yelling, “BABE, PLEASE—GET OUT OF THE BACKSEAT!

🎬 Our Final Take

Denied Love is glorious. The series blends strong character development with adult themes, compelling storytelling, and sparkling chemistry that feels both natural and intoxicating. The acting (especially from June and her co-star) pulls you in with emotional nuance and smoldering tension. Khem’s methodical charm paired with Rin’s inner turmoil makes this one of the best GL dramas we’ve seen in a while.

It’s bold. It’s sexy. And it’s emotionally resonant. We’re all aboard this ride—and we’re not getting off anytime soon.
