Let’s start with this: we LOVE this series. Like, capital-L love. Denied Love has solidified its place as one of the strongest Thai GL dramas out there—bold writing, layered performances, and a chemistry so fiery we need a fan just to recap it. But real talk? Episode 6 felt a little... underwhelming.
After a week of spoiler-heavy previews and sky-high expectations, the payoff didn’t quite match the build-up. Not bad, just not the knock-you-over moment we anticipated. But let’s get into the details because there’s still a lot to unpack.

Homework... Every. Damn. Where.
Khem, our queen of extra credit, is out here turning in assignments like a straight-A student—at the desk, on office chairs, and deep in the feelings. This week’s homework reference involved Rin “hitting” Khem, which triggered a flood of spicy one-liners and flustered Rin moments.
But let’s be honest—the "hit" in question wasn’t exactly the steamy, novel-level moment fans expected. We were braced for intensity, vulnerability, and an emotional evolution that pushed Rin closer to that “I’m falling hard” line. Instead, it felt like dessert with no whipped cream. Still tasty, just not as indulgent.
Rin’s Besties = Comedy Gold
Shoutout to Rin’s chaotic but loving friends. That “how do I cut the homework?” scene? Chef’s kiss. These grounded moments give us a break from the drama and let Rin show off her awkward, soft, flustered side. The banter was golden, the teasing just right, and the group dynamic continues to deliver some of the most relatable, sapphic-friendly humor we’ve seen in Thai GLs.
Kiri, You Villainous Troll
We had a gut feeling Kiri was sketchy, but this confirmed it. Manipulating Rin for status? Trash behavior. And Pai knew? Girl. The betrayal. The manipulation. The lies. It’s like watching a drama within the drama. Strategic sabotage in the name of social climbing? Oh, this show knows how to serve.
But let’s give Rin her flowers—she handled that confrontation like a boss. She ripped into Kiri, called him out, and refused to let him deflect. But then... she asked him to “give her the woman she loves back”? No, sweetie. Just no.
You were literally glowing after a night of homework with Khem just hours earlier. You smiled like a lovestruck teen because she called you beautiful. You're not in love with Pai. You're in denial. Let’s move along.
Mental Health Matters: A Scene Worth Praising
The scene where Khem suffers a panic attack—triggered by PTSD from her accident—was teased online and had us holding our breath. While the emotional crescendo could’ve been built a little stronger, we need to give this moment the serious recognition it deserves.
Rin’s response? Textbook perfection. Supportive. Grounded. No dramatics. Just real, patient, affirming love. This is the kind of representation we need more of in sapphic media. The writers, actors, and production team deserve a standing ovation for showing how to handle mental health moments with empathy and respect.
More of this, please. So much more.
Rin in the Kitchen = Earth. Shattered.
Then came the scene that sent the internet into a full meltdown.
Rin. In the kitchen. Making milk. Wearing that silky little number? June, you absolute goddess. We were not prepared. You served soft femme elegance with a side of smoldering hotness. That outfit? The lighting? The makeup and hair? A masterclass in sapphic thirst trap execution.
And yet, it wasn’t just about the look—Rin’s act of care, even if she fumbled at the end, showed how much she’s trying. Her feelings are slipping through the cracks, milk and all.
Homework Debrief & Sapphic Honesty
The post-milk chair chat between Rin and Khem was perfectly in character. Khem’s starting to poke the bear—questioning Rin’s role in their homework and demanding emotional reciprocity. And yes, we got a delicious top/bottom reference and we lived.
But here’s the thing: they need to talk. Like, for real. Outside the homework, the workplace, and the tension-filled stares. The show’s strongest asset is how these two push each other—and we’re begging for deeper emotional intimacy to match the physical connection.
Khem Walked in Like a Boss
Now let’s talk about Khem’s comeback entrance—because that was a power move. Gee’s face when she saw Khem stroll in like nothing happened? Priceless. That shocked expression said it all. She really thought she had Khem stuck in that closet all night, and Khem’s smooth, strategic taunting was just gold.
We love that Khem is trying to play this game on her own terms—independent, clever, always one step ahead. But between Rin’s unresolved feelings and Gee’s manipulative games, she’s walking a dangerous line. Someone’s going to get burned, and if neither Rin nor Gee breaks soon, it might just be Khem caught in the middle.
That Monologue Though…
Rin finally cracking at the end? We were cheering. She’s this close to saying the words—and we can see it all over her face. The pain. The fear. The longing. Her tough exterior is melting like Bangkok ice cream, and we’re here for every gooey second.
Final Grade: A- With Extra Credit Potential
Look, even a slightly off episode of Denied Love still slays. With stellar performances, sizzling tension, and a story that respects its audience, this series keeps proving why it’s top-tier Thai GL content.
This one may not have delivered all the sparks we expected—but it still moved the plot, deepened the emotional stakes, and gave us THAT kitchen scene (thank you, June).
What did you think? Did you want more book accuracy? Did Khem’s panic scene hit home? Are we finally ready for Rin to say the L-word?
