A 90’s Sitcom Throwback Packed With Sapphic Chaos, Beauty Queens, and Zero Apologies
If there’s one thing you can count on from #Englot, it’s authenticity—and Unlimited Love delivers exactly that. We’re longtime fans, we respect how they’ve shown up as advocates since day one (yes, we’ve already written about that), and we love that they refuse to stay in a single genre box. Romance? Done. Crime thriller? Nailed it. Comedy? Welcome to the chaos, ladies—well done.
We’ll always show up for #Englot… we just may arrive fashionably late to the party.
What Is Unlimited Love About?
If you’re craving a 90’s sitcom-style comedy that exists purely for laughs—with a generous helping of sapphic absurdity—Unlimited Love might be exactly your jam.
The story follows Plu, an office worker who gets fired after decking a leering senior colleague (honestly? Iconic behavior). Suddenly unemployed and responsible for supporting her mother and younger sibling, she meets Ray—a beautiful, wealthy-looking woman with a wildly unhinged proposal: start Unlimited Company, a business that will do absolutely anything as long as the client can pay.
With a conveniently available building and a hastily agreed partnership (possibly aided by alcohol… definitely aided by Ray’s facecard), the real focus of the series quickly shifts to Unlimited Company’s increasingly absurd client requests. As applicants with wildly unpredictable talents join the team, each episode leans into chaotic problem-solving, over-the-top situations, and comedic set pieces. Plu’s personal struggles—and the relationships forming between coworkers—remain mostly in the background, slowly threading through the madness rather than driving the story outright.
Is it ridiculous? Yes.
Is it unserious? Entirely.
Is that the point? Absolutely.
What Worked
Good-Old-Fashioned Fun
This series knows exactly what it is—and never pretends otherwise. Unlimited Love isn’t trying to deliver prestige drama or emotional devastation. It’s here to make you laugh, maybe snort once or twice, and leave you feeling lighter than when you pressed play.
Each actress shows up and delivers exactly what her role demands. Some moments are so wildly asinine that you genuinely pause and think, “A beauty queen just did that.” And that’s where the respect comes in. MGI’s talent pool isn’t just about looks—it’s about heart, range, and a willingness to commit fully to the bit.
Respect.
The Most Expensive Facecard Buffet We’ve Ever Seen
Facecard buffet? Where do we sign?
These women came to play. From outfits to hairstyles to sheer on-screen presence, everyone looked incredible. No wonder half the office was falling for each other—LOL.
What we especially appreciated was the diversity of beauty across the characters. Different portrayed ages, personalities, aesthetics, and energies all coexisted in one space, creating a world that felt inclusive, celebratory, and refreshingly fun—without ever feeling forced.
The Story (Yes, Really)
Listen—show up knowing this is all for laughs, and suddenly the story works way better than you expect.
Whether it’s the absurd problem-solving for clients, the fact that roughly 90% of the women are into women, or Ray discovering her aunt’s will knitted into a scarf (yes, really), everything technically makes sense… even when it absolutely shouldn’t.
It’s a stretch. Always.But it’s a committed stretch—and that matters.
Wardrobe on Overdrive
With 11 leads, plus rotating supporting characters, the wardrobe department was clearly fighting for their lives—and winning.
Every look hit. Goofy? Nailed it. Stunning? Served. Villain era? Devoured. No matter the tone of the scene, the styling stayed sharp, intentional, and fun. Massive props to the team behind the scenes for keeping this ship afloat.
#Englot’s Growth
If you’ve followed #Englot’s career, you’ve seen the steady evolution. This series highlighted that growth beautifully—especially that possession moment. Their range shined, and they absolutely killed it.
We love seeing women continue to level up in their craft. Always.
Key Character Call-Outs
Michelle Behrmann
If Michelle shows up, we show up. Period.
What we truly adore about Michelle is her range—she’s taken on a variety of roles across different tones and genres, and none of them feel repetitive. Even more impressive is her willingness to work with multiple acting partners, something that’s still considered a bold move in the Asian entertainment landscape. And she manages to generate real chemistry with every single one of them. That’s not accidental. That’s skill.
Her now-iconic dance with Tiga near the end, performed in a full ghillie suit, was pure comedy gold. We genuinely died. Michelle commits fully to every role without fear of looking silly or unpolished, and that fearless playfulness is exactly why she shines. Whether she’s being comedic, dramatic, or sexy, she gives each character her all—and it shows.
Parn Khomkrit Duangsuwan
If you watched Poisonous Love, you already know him as that ex-fiancé. Good news: if you’re seeking a little vindication, you’ll get it here. He plays another jerk—this time with consequences—and watching karma do its thing? Deeply satisfying.
Meena Suchita Oxman
Our first introduction to Meena, and we’re officially fans. She plays Greece, speaking half Thai, half English throughout the series—and the delivery is flawless.
The moment where she tries to imitate a Gen Z ghost who also speaks half-Thai, half-English… then admits she can’t understand him? We lost it. Her ability to fully embrace being unserious was a highlight.
Patcha Patchaploy Rueandaluang
Okay—Patcha. Wow.
This was our first time seeing Patcha, and her beauty genuinely caught us off guard. She brings a striking presence that immediately pulls you in, and once she hits the screen, she holds it. Effortlessly cool and fully owning her tomboy aesthetic, she didn’t just slay her looks—she commanded attention.
What truly sealed it, though, was her character. Bold, blunt, and unapologetically badass, she was refreshingly real in every situation. From the “impolite” comments (as Wow loved to remind her) to that perfectly timed reaction when Wow accidentally revealed she stayed over, Patcha delivered moment after moment of pure gold. We were glued to every one of her scenes. No notes.
Aoom Thaweeporn Phingchamrat
When Aoom walks into a room, she owns it. Fierce, confident, and magnetic, she was fantastic during her villain arc. She dominated every scene and every outfit. We loved every second.
Mint Kittiyapron Fungmee
First impression? Strong. Fierce facecard, tough exterior, soft heart when love enters the picture. We were here for her character and everything she brought to the role.
Lin Malin Sae-lim
We’ve been fans since Petrichor, and our respect for Lin only continues to grow. In this series, she naturally adapts to whatever the role requires. Her willingness to work fluidly with various scene partners too, in service of the story, speaks to her professionalism and range. We see it, and we appreciate it.
What Didn’t Work
#Englot (Hear Us Out)
Let’s be clear—it’s not that they didn’t work. We adore them. But waiting until the final episode for the payoff… only to get one kiss?
Pain. Real pain.
These two have chemistry, and we were ready for them to light up the screen. Unfortunately, within the logic of this series, we understand why we didn’t get more. That doesn’t mean it didn’t sting.
Chemistry (Overall)
A workplace filled almost entirely with beautiful women is a dream scenario—sadly not a universal reality. While some pairings worked better than others, we didn’t fully feel the chemistry across the board.
The comedic tone limited intimacy to a few kisses here and there, and even those moments didn’t always deliver what we hoped. Still… where does this company exist? Because we’d book a flight immediately.
Final Verdict
Much respect to MGI for trying something new and leaning fully into comedy. Unlimited Love is fun, unserious, and exactly the kind of comfort watch fans need during the GL drought.
If you’re looking for laugh-out-loud moments, chaotic energy, and a cast of beautiful women who clearly had fun making this series—we’d absolutely recommend it.
Just don’t come in expecting realism. Come for the vibes. Stay for the chaos.
