Queendom EP4 – First Kisses, Almost Kisses & Sapphic Teasing

WeTV… what are you doing to us? Two out of four episodes now have left us all pent-up, waiting for that sapphic payoff—only to fade to black at the worst possible moment. You’re killing us, folks. Seriously killing us!

Still, Episode 4 gave us some much-needed depth. Finally, a look into Mai x Fon’s past—and their first kiss, which was surprisingly sweet and enjoyable. More importantly, Queendom continues to prove that these women can act. All four leads are carrying this story with charm and heart, and that’s what keeps us coming back. The vibe is light, fun, and romantic, but with just enough drama to keep us hooked. Here’s what really worked this week:

1. Unfamiliar Home

Watching Print (Rey) step into a home she technically doesn’t remember was one of those quiet, grounding moments we love. From the dog not recognizing her, to the tiny touches like the height chart and stickers, everything reminded us of what she and Rey are still navigating. Subtle but powerful.

2. Backstories We Needed

This episode finally connected the dots. Why Glitter Girl means so much to Print. How Mai and Fon’s first kiss happened. Why that runaway-dog location matters. Even the return to their old school delivered emotional weight—especially when Print tried to ease Rey’s scars. That scene was tender and utterly swoon-worthy.

3. Chemistry (and Cruel Teasing)

Queendom may not be as steamy as Roller Coaster (we see you), but when the switch flips, the sparks are real. Mai and Fon’s kiss was genuine and heartfelt. And Rey and Print? That hideout from the security guard had playful tension written all over it. The neck grab, the nose touch, lips about to meet… and then boom—cut to black. Ugh. That kiss was about to rival sparklers, and instead, we’re left yelling at our screens.

Final Thoughts

Queendom continues to be that easy, sapphic comfort watch you throw on when you need a mix of laughs, swoons, and a happy tear or two. The acting is strong, the production is polished, and the writing has just enough bite to keep us invested.

But WeTV, do us a favor: stop playing with our emotions and let the sapphics kiss already.
